Tributes Pour in for Matthew Perry

Friends, family, and colleagues of Matthew Perry have been paying homage to the 54-year-old actor, who passed away.

According to reports, Perry was found unresponsive in a hot tub at his house in Los Angeles, California on Saturday, 28 October. Authorities have not yet determined an official cause of death and will be investigating the matter further. However, no foul play is suspected.

The cast of the popular sitcom, “Friends”, released a joint statement to an international publication on Monday, 30 October, paying tribute to their former colleague.

“We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family,” said the statement, signed by Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Courtney Cox and Matt LeBlanc.

“There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss,” they added.

Perry’s former fiance, Molly Hurwitz, also took to Instagram on the same day to mourn him: “He would love that the world is talking about how talented he was. And he really was very talented,” she said.

The actor was open about his struggles with substance abuse and alcohol addiction throughout his life.
